LVT Flooring
Vinyl Flooring
Choosing the Right Flooring for Your Home
Different rooms need different types of flooring. Some spaces need a practical, easy-clean finish, while others need something more durable or design-led. Here is a simple guide to help you compare LVT and vinyl flooring.
| Room or Need | Best Flooring Option | Why It Works |
|---|---|---|
| Kitchens | LVT or vinyl flooring | Both are easy to clean and practical for busy kitchens. LVT gives a more premium finish, while vinyl is often a more affordable choice. |
| Bathrooms | Vinyl flooring | Vinyl is a practical choice for bathrooms, cloakrooms and utility rooms where easy cleaning and comfort underfoot matter. |
| Hallways | LVT flooring | LVT is hard-wearing, easy to maintain and available in realistic wood-effect and stone-effect designs for high-traffic spaces. |
| Open-plan spaces | LVT flooring | LVT works well where you want a consistent, design-led finish across kitchen, dining and living areas. |
| Utility rooms | Vinyl or LVT flooring | Both options are practical for working areas of the home. Vinyl is usually better for value, while LVT can offer a more premium look. |
| Rental properties | Vinyl flooring | Vinyl is a good-value option for rental properties where the priority is a clean, practical and easy-maintenance finish. |

What is the best flooring for kitchens?
LVT and vinyl are both good flooring options for kitchens. LVT is usually better if you want a more premium wood-effect, stone-effect or herringbone finish. Vinyl is a practical and affordable choice if you want an easy-clean floor for everyday use.
