Bespoke Stair Runner Installation in Weybridge

Smyth Carpets completed a bespoke stair runner installation for a property in Weybridge, creating a refined and elegant finish across a large statement staircase. The design used a light neutral runner with a contrasting dark border, giving the hallway and stairway a smart, high-end look while still keeping the space warm and inviting.

The runner was fitted across multiple stair sections and landing areas, requiring careful measuring, shaping and finishing to ensure a clean result throughout.

Our Approach

We carefully planned the runner layout so it worked with the shape of the staircase and the wider hallway. The light carpet runner was fitted with a contrasting dark edge, creating a sharp, defined finish against the exposed wooden stairs.

Attention to detail was key, particularly around the turns, landings and changes in direction. Each section was measured and fitted to follow the staircase cleanly, helping the runner feel intentional and made for the space rather than added afterwards.

The Result

The finished staircase now has a polished, bespoke look that adds comfort without covering the full character of the wood beneath. The neutral runner keeps the space bright and elegant, while the dark border gives the installation definition and a more tailored feel.
