Smyth Carpets recently completed a unique LVT flooring installation in the Surrey Hills, showcasing the flexibility and craftsmanship possible with luxury vinyl flooring.
This project featured a combination of different laying patterns, including straight lay, 45-degree angles and detailed border work, creating a completely bespoke finish throughout the property.
The installation also included custom stair detailing, with stair nosings supplied by Stair Rods UK to complete the look.
The Brief
The aim of this project was to create a high-quality flooring design that worked perfectly with the property’s layout and interior style.
Rather than a standard straight installation, the customer wanted a more individual finish that incorporated different directions, feature areas and detailed edging.
The flooring needed to flow seamlessly between rooms while creating a standout design feature on the staircase.
Our Approach
We worked closely with the layout of the property to create a fully customised LVT installation.
The flooring was fitted using multiple design techniques, including straight laying, 45-degree sections and border detailing, ensuring each area connected beautifully with the next.
Using Polyflor LVT products alongside professional preparation materials from F. Ball, we created a stable and long-lasting foundation before fitting the flooring.
The staircase was finished with carefully fitted stair nosings from Stair Rods UK, adding a practical and stylish finishing touch.
